NTGTS/CTC Monthly Networking Program April 3 on WiFi and Convergence

Please join the North Texas Global Telecommunications Society (NTGTS) for its Monthly Program on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at The University of Dallas, Frisco Campus, 7460 Warren Parkway, Frisco, TX.  The program will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST.  NTGTS is pleased to host and welcome back Mr. Servando Palomeque, Senior Quality Assurance Analyst and Team Lead for Infrastructure Validation & Testing for T-Mobile HotSpot.  Mr. Palomeque will be presenting on the topic of WiFi and Convergence.  Discussion will include how Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) is helping mobile operators leverage cost and performance advantages of IP access technologies to deliver low-cost mobile voice and data services.  In addition, there will be discussion on T-Mobile’s new convergence-based home phone plan, Talk Forever, and how it is offering a revolutionary approach to providing converged voice services.   

Servando Palomeque has been with T-Mobile HotSpot since October 2003.  Mr. Palomeque has spent his professional career in the networking infrastructure, both hardware and software, industry.  He has a vast knowledge of operating systems and network protocols. Mr. Palomeque has received several Awards for his dedication to working and training his peers and for doing an outstanding job in delivery several key projects on a short time schedule.

Members are $5.  Non-members are $10.00. 

Light food and refreshments will be provided.

Note:  The University of Dallas, Frisco Campus, recently moved from its former Plano location.  See directional notes below.  We suggest you allow several additional minutes of travel time to the new venue.   

NTGTS will be meeting at the University of Dallas Frisco Campus, located at 7460 Warren Parkway, 1st Floor, Frisco, TX.  The new campus is located just north of the Legacy corporate park, at the intersection of Warren Parkway and the Dallas Parkway.  Volunteers will be on hand to direct you to the meeting room.
