Preamble
This document outlines the terms and conditions of NTGTS and CTC membership.
Section 1. CATEGORIES OF MEMBERSHIP.
The Society shall consist of the following four (4) categories of
Members, designated as: a) Individual Membership; b) Student
Membership; c) Corporate Membership; and Academic/Government/Non-profit
Membership.
Section 2. QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP.
Any person generally engaged in, or pursuing a course of study in, the
management or operations of telecommunications and/or in other related
industries and desirous of advancing the educational and development
opportunities ties and other interests of professionals in those
respective fields shall be eligible for membership.
Membership may include but is not limited to industry professionals
employed by telephone and information technology companies,
manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers of telecommunications and related
equipment and services, regulatory and policy making bodies,
telecommunications associations, and users of communications and
information systems and services.
Section 3. APPLICATION.
Application for Membership shall be made by completing the standard
application form. The standard form or on-line form may be equally
acceptable for application. The application must include an acceptable
form of payment or intent to submit payment. Payments for membership
must be received within thirty (30) days of the initial application.
Failure to remit payment under these terms will result in a rejection
of the application and will require subsequent re-application to join
the organization. A decision to reject an application shall be made by
the Board of Directors.
Section 4. RESIGNATION.
Notice of resignation shall be delivered to the Board of the Society. No refunds of annual dues will be made on resignation.
Section 5. CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP.
The Individual and Student Memberships in NTGTS and CTC are on an
individual basis, and are not transferable or re-assignable. Corporate,
Academic, Government and Non-Profit Memberships reside with the paying
entity and may be transferred and/or re-assigned to different
individuals throughout the duration of the membership. We reserve the
right at any time to modify any of the terms or conditions of the
organization's Membership Guidelines and member benefits. The
organization shall make a good faith effort to notify the membership of
any such changes.
Section 6. PRIVACY.
The organization shall protect the privacy and confidentiality of its
members. NTGTS and CTC will not sell, market or disclose its member
information to third parties without the expressed consent of its
membership. Consent can be in writing or orally. NTGTS and CTC members
may choose to opt out and not disclose their personal or professional
information in the membership directory. NTGTS and CTC will make a good
faith effort to communicate its privacy policy to members and/or other
third parties via its website and other organization documentation. No
individual serving in any leadership capacity shall violate this
provision. Failure to comply with this provision may result in warning
and/or other remedial measures.
Section 7. DURATION OF MEMBERSHIP.
Membership terms shall be one year in length and valid from the date of
receipt of payment. Membership will expire on the last day of the month
of the following year that the individual/entity has joined. A member
in Good Standing shall be defined as one who has contributed the
required annual or periodic dues, whether in payment or in kind.

Code of Membership Conduct
Preamble
Following on from the organization's Mission Statement, NTGTS and CTC
have produced a Code of Membership Conduct. We expect existing, and new
members, at all levels of membership to abide by the Code.
Section 1. NON-DISCRIMINATION.
NTGTS and CTC do not condone behavior that includes but is not
restricted to any type of discrimination on the basis of a person's
race, color, sex, age, disability, religion, national origin, physical
attributes and sexual preference.
