JULY 13 NTGTS MONTHLY NETWORKING EVENT TO ADDRESS THE ROLE OF NETWORK-BRIDGING ELEMENTS IN THE TRANSITION FROM TDM TO IMS-BASED NETWORKS

Please join the North Texas Global Telecommunications Society (NTGTS) forits July Monthly Networking Event taking place on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at The Richardson Hotel, 701 East Campbell Road, Richardson, TX.  The program will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST.  NTGTS is pleased to host and welcome BG Kumar who is Vice President of Engineering for Tekelec.
 
Mr. Kumar will discuss “The Role of Network-Bridging Elements in the Transition from TDM to IMS-Based Networks.”  As operators migrate networks from a time division multiplexing (TDM) network to an Internet protocol multimedia subsystems (IMS) reference architecture model, network-bridging elements will play a pivotal role.
 
Mr. Kumar is Vice President of Engineering for the T6000 - IMS Enabled VoIP Application Server.  He joined Tekelec as a result of Tekelec's acquisition of VocalData in October 2004.

BG brings more than 16 years of executive, management and development experience in the telecommunications industry.  He joined VocalData in 2000 to initially run the development organization prior to running all of
Engineering.  He has more than eight years of experience in VoIP and more recently in IMS where he has been involved in all facets of the technology from Protocols to Applications and Solutions.  BG holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a M.S. in Computer Science from the Florida Institute of Technology.  For more information on Tekelec, please see

NTGTS or Communications and Technology Connections (CTC) Members are free. The fee is $10.00 per person for Non-Members.  Payments are taken at the door only for this event.  Cash, check or credit cards are accepted.  If you
