SEPTEMBER 14 NTGTS MONTHLY NETWORKING EVENT TO ADDRESS "DELIVERING MOBILE SECURITY AND PROTECTION OF THE ENTERPRISE CUSTOMER"

Please join the North Texas Global Telecommunications Society (NTGTS) for its September Monthly Networking Event taking place on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at The Richardson Hotel, 701 East Campbell Road, Richardson, TX.

The program will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST. NTGTS is pleased to host and welcome Arnie Moore, Founder and CTO, and Dr. Arvind Betrabet, Founder and Director of Solutions, of Converged Network Solutions (CNS). Moore and Betrabet will discuss "Delivering Mobile Security and Protection to an Enterprise". The widespread availability of wireless access networks for voice, data and video along with the rapid evolution of devices has led to a true conundrum for the enterprise. Enterprises are driven to use the new potentially insecure networks and technologies by competitive pressures at the same time they are required to increase the level of security and protection for all types of information by regulatory mandates. CNS has taken a systems level approach to the enterprise user's requirements to arrive at a framework solution which resolves this conundrum.

Participants in the session will gain an understanding of:

- The network elements within the multiple mobile ecosphere.

- The key elements driving the service security requirements.

- The regulatory requirements and their impact on the enterprise users.

- Possible strategies to assure security and deliver optimum performance to the mobile enterprise user.

Moore is a technology leader with a track record for developing and executing strategic initiatives focused on creating sustainable competitive advantage. Over thirty-four years of communications electronics and technical management experience from both a wireline and wireless network operator perspective. He is a Founder of SBC Labs and architect of numerous leading edge wireless implementations. His recent work has included architecting fixed mobile convergence solutions for enterprises and service providers.

Betrabet is a Ph.D. with 15 years of practical software development experience with major wireless and wireline service providers, at the chip, device and system level. He has a strong architectural design and implementation experience which is complimented by 3GPP knowledge and multiple IN and SIP application development projects. Betrabet has extensive experience architecting wireless next generation networks.
