January 2009 Monthly Networking Event: Communications Infrastructure: Your Connection to Success…Are You Prepared?
Please join NTGTS for its Monthly Program on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the University of Dallas, Frisco Campus, 7460 Warren Parkway, Frisco, TX. The program will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Central. The program’s featured speakers are: Don Peschka, Senior Account Manager, Black Box Network Services and Tracy Morrison, Senior IT Infrastructure Designer, Children’s Medical Center, Dallas. The speakers will present on “Communications Infrastructure”. Topics of discussion will include a brief history of communications technology, vital design considerations, systems management and documentation. Don Peschka is a Senior Account Manager at Black Box Network Services located in Carrollton, Texas. He has been in the telecommunications industry for over 35 years beginning his career with Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1973. At the time of the AT&T divestiture, Don moved over to AT&T working in installation and repair. Don began his own company in 1984. His clients include: State Farm Insurance, Microsoft, Advanced Micro Devices and the Texas Youth Commission. Tracy Morrison is a Senior IT Infrastructure Designer at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. Tracy has been in the telecommunications industry for over 24 years on both the contractor and customer sides. Tracy’s experiences include design and installation of inside and outside plant pathways, riser and horizontal system components, aerial and underground communications cabling including fiber optic, copper, and coaxial cabling.
