Unified Communications is blurring the boundaries between the Voice, Video and Data worlds. Enterprises are looking to improve their ROI thru collaboration and collaborative applications cannot be deployed in islands. Additionally, Enterprises are looking to extend their enterprise boundaries across the Internet. They want to securely extend their enterprises voice and video communications to any broadband Internet connect point. Enterprises are also looking to create a new trunking model/business relationship with the service providers. A converged network, extending business critical information across Internet and a new enterprise-carrier peering relationship using SIP trunk, poses an unprecedented security challenge. In the evening discussion, Andy will be discussing the following: > VoIP/Video threat taxonomy; > Toll-Fraud and Theft of Service; > Compliance needs for the enterprise; > Eavesdropping, spoofing (identity thefts) and SIP worms; > Security reference architecture; and > Getting a security audit done. Andy joined Sipera Systems in 2007 and currently serves as the VP of Worldwide Sales where he brings over 19 years of telecom industry experience and holds multiple patents. Prior to Sipera, Andy was the VP of CDMA Business Strategy at Nortel where he spent almost 15 years. At Nortel, Andy held a variety of positions as CTO, PLM, Marketing, Business Strategy and R&D. In the last 6 years at Nortel, Andy worked as a trusted technology and business advisor to over 100 global carriers.
