Regulatory Consulting
John Jensik is a consultant and retired Director-International
Regulatory of Verizon International, a unit of Verizon (formerly GTE
Service Corporation). He is responsible for influencing and shaping
regulatory and government telecommunications policies worldwide.
After 20 years in domestic telecommunications, John began his
international career in 1992, with an assignment in Venezuela
establishing the regulatory process for their national
telecommunications company. Next he worked with GTE ventures throughout
Latin America, Europe and Asia. On these assignments he developed
privatization, interconnection and regulatory policies in support of
GTE.
John has published numerous papers on the pricing of local and
interconnection services and has testified frequently as an expert
witness on rate design and competition in telecommunications. Prior to
working for GTE, Jensik was a member of the computer science faculty at
the University of Wisconsin, where he taught applied mathematics.
John serves on the Board of Advisors for NTGTS. John received his BS in
mathematics from the University of Wisconsin and his MA in mathematics
from Western Michigan University. |
