Mr. Larry Pereira is an independent Consultant in the technology
& supply chain industries. His company, FlexWorks Solutions Int'l,
is located in Dallas, TX. Larry is the Vice Chair of the Marketing
Working Group for the ZigBee Alliance Organization – an evolving
Standards Body for low power wireless sensor solutions. Larry is
also on the Board of Trustees of The Science Place Museum in Dallas,
TX. Larry has two graduate degrees - MBA in Marketing Management
and an MA in International Business.
Mr. Pereira has an extensive career in the telecommunications / IT
industry. Prior to starting his own consulting company, he held various
senior management positions in Nortel Networks Inc. and with a startup
company in areas including wireless, switching, transport and
enterprise. Mr. Pereira was responsible for product management, all
forms of marketing, international market / business development, major
account sales support, international joint ventures, alliances, &
partnerships and M&A activities. Mr. Pereira played a significant
role in assisting Nortel to penetrate various international markets,
including the identification of an Indian local partner for a 3-way
joint venture between a major US based service provider, Nortel, and an
Indian partner.
Mr. Pereira received his bachelors in management science and
information systems from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). He
received his MBA from University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) in marketing
and a masters of arts (MA) in international business via UTD's
Executive Program - GLEMBA / MIMS (Global Leadership Executive MBA /
Masters in International Management Studies). Mr. Pereira is also one
of the original founding members of the GLEMBA / MIMS Program. Mr.
Pereira serves on the board of directors & trustees at The Science
Place (TSP), a major regional science & technology hands-on
learning museum, located in Dallas, TX. Additionally, Mr. Pereira is
active in several local community service groups. Additionally,
Mr. Pereira is the current Vice Chair of the Marketing Working Group
for the ZigBee Alliance Organization – an evolving Standards Body for
low power wireless sensor solutions. |
