Categories of Events held on an annual basis:
After Hour Events/Happy Hours
The group normally meets monthly at a local hotel, restaurant or other
venue. Since September 2003, the group has been featuring a speaker on
a substantive issue or trend. The speaker talks 20 minutes with
approximately 10-15 minutes for question and answer. There may be a
modest charge when there is a featured speaker.
Conferences
These events are half-, full-, or one and a half day. These events
feature many speakers on a variety of topics that relate to the
overarching conference theme and objectives including wireless,
Internet, regional/global issues, etc. In addition, these events
feature nationally and internationally known industry experts, business
and government leaders. Attendance can range between 100-300 and may be
comprised of local, national and/or international conference
participants. Conference structure is more formal and admission charges
will vary based on location and event related costs.
Digital Domain Series
This is a lunch or evening program series featuring one or more
speakers either in a panel format or solo presenters. This event lasts
up to three hours and includes time for networking, meal, presentation,
and questions. Presentations focus on key trends and developments
taking place in the industry. Program structure is more formal and
admission charges will vary based on location and event related costs.
Management Breakfast Series
This is an executive level breakfast program series or roundtable
featuring one or more speakers either in a panel format or solo
presenters. This event lasts up to three hours and includes time for
networking, meal, presentation, and questions. Presentations focus on
key trends and developments taking place in the industry. Program
structure is more formal and admission charges will vary based on
location and event related costs.
Membership Reception
This event is held on a quarterly basis and is hosted by one of the
organization's corporate and/or institutional members. This event lasts
up to three hours and includes time for networking, light food and
refreshments, presentation, and questions. A member of one of our
corporate and/or institutional member organizations presents. There may
be a modest charge when there is a featured speaker.
Partner Events
The organization strategically partners with other non-profit
organizations, chambers of commerce, academic institutions and other
groups. These events have a telecommunications and/or information
technology focus and are attractive to our membership. We also have
been able to accord event discounts at the other organization's member
rate to our members. Since 1998, these partner events have spanned the
globe including Texas, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Washington, D.C., Florida
and elsewhere. |
